Education and experience

I grew up and trained as a doctor in St. Petersburg: Mechnikov North-Western State Medical University, then an internal medicine internship at Pavlov First St. Petersburg State Medical University. I worked as a gastroenterologist at three clinics across the city.
In 2022 I returned to my ancestral homeland, Georgia. I got my medical license here and now see patients in Tbilisi and Batumi, and online anywhere in the world — in Russian, Georgian and English.
I believe a doctor's job is to explain, not to frighten. That's why I write a blog, give lectures for doctors and talk about digestion so that after a visit you feel calm, not scared.
